Use of Talkback

Talkback is a wireless headset system that allows the crew to communicate with director .The system is essential as it allows the director to get his thoughts and suggestions across quickly without delay.However the system must be used properly and you must not talk over the director when you need to speak to director use must first state who is speaking for example if you were floor manager you would say:"Floor Manager to director" ,then wait for a response from the director.When the director is ready to rehearse they would say to the Floor manager "everyone on cans" and at that point the Floor Manager would tell the camera Operators to go on cans.
